Safe Anesthetic Methods

You can rest assured that safety is our number one priority… always. We therefore use only the safest and most dependable methods of anesthesia, including pre-anesthetic bloodwork and a physical exam before your pet’s surgery. If test results conclude that your companion animal isn’t healthy enough for surgery, we will cancel the procedure and discuss with you alternative means of treating the condition.

In addition to safety, we advocate for your pet’s comfort. If your pet is deemed well enough to undergo anesthesia, we administer medication to relax and sooth your companion even before anesthetizing.

During surgery, your pet is continuously monitored by both state-of-the-art equipment and an assigned license veterinary technician. We steadily observe and regulate your pet’s:

  • Body temperature
  • Blood pressure
  • Heart rate and rhythm (ECG)
  • Respiration
  • Blood oxygen saturation

After the procedure, we swaddle and warm your pet in a blanket and continue to monitor progressive recovery until your companion awakens and recovers. Your pet will always receive the utmost of attention and TLC (tender loving care) from our compassionate staff.
