Advent is a large, growing, progressive, accepting veterinary clinic seeking veterinarians looking for a great lifestyle, benefits, salary, and future! To give our clients the best medical care possible, Advent uses: digital X-rays, ultrasound, radiograph interpretation service, doppler blood pressure, EKG, cardio interpretation service, pulse oximeters, dental X-ray, IDEXX Prolyte Dx, IDEXX Catalyst One, IDEXX Catalyst DX, IDEXX Sedi View Dx, Vetscan Imagyst (cytology, fecal analysis, dermatology, blood smears). We have 8 examination rooms with isolated surgery, dental station and secondary surgical area and large treatment area.

It sits 2.5 hours from Nashville, TN, 3 hours from St. Louis, MO, 2 hours from Louisville, KY and 3 hours from Indianapolis, IN. Accuride, Berry Global, and One Main Financial (all NYSE companies) are headquartered here. Major operation centers for NYSE companies Mead Johnson and Alcoa as well as NASDAQ companies Escalade, Old National Bank and the Shoe Carnival are head-quartered here as well.
Educationally, Evansville and the nearby surrounding suburbs have some of the finest grade and high schools (blue ribbon) and colleges in the state. The University of Southern Indiana, the University of Evansville, and Indiana University’s Medical School provide some of the finest college educations in the country. Highly regarded Ivy Tech Community College is also located here.
Nationally recognized and award-winning healthcare can also be found here with Ascension St. Vincent and Deaconess Hospitals.
Evansville is home to the Ford Center, Old National Bank Event Plaza and the Victory Theatre, in addition to Bally’s Casino, all of which provide a showcase for nationally and internationally recognized, top rated entertainers from all artistic venues: country, rock, classical music; comedians; dance; novelties; etc. In addition, major off-Broadway and local theatre and plays are readily in performance.
Evansville celebrates the arts, culture and history with the Evansville Wartime Museum, African/American Museum, Koch Childrens Museum, the Evansville Museum and Observatory, Reitz Home Museum, the USS LST Museum, the Train Museum, and Angel Mounds State Historic Site.
Quality of life features high in Evansville with Wesselman Woods Nature Center, Garvin Park, Blue Grass Fish and Wildlife Area, Howland Wetland, and Audubon State Park (just across the bridge in Henderson KY). The Hoosier National Forest is an hour away, Shawnee National Forest and Garden of the Gods and Land-Between-The-Lakes are just 2 hours away.
Evansville and the surrounding nearby suburbs provide sport enthusiasts with Division 1 college sports through both the University of Southern Indiana and the University of Evansville. Even our high schools, in addition to their high academic and extra-curricular activities (Castle High School Band played at this year’s Rose Bowl!) provide some of the finest high school sporting events in the state (especially in state championships in swimming, football, wrestling, track and field, and soccer!). Evansville has it’s own semi-pro baseball team in the Evansville Otters and semi-pro hockey team with the Evansville Thunderbolts. Big time horse racing is found at Ellis Park. We are 2-3 hours away from all big-time sports: Major League Baseball in St. Louis and Cincinnati; NFL Football in Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and Nashville; NBA Basketball action in Indianapolis; NHL hockey; Nashville and St. Louis; and MLS Soccer in Indianapolis, Nashville, St Louis, and Louisville.
Evansville boasts a renovated Swonder Ice Rink; the new Deaconess Aquatic Center, 2 YMCA’s and numerous large and small health clubs with area-wide opportunities for us non-professionals to join and participate in almost every sport imaginable for fun, fitness, and recreation, for all ages and levels of proficiencies. And although our winters are mild, you can find fun and challenging skiing in Paoli, IN, just 2 hours away. In addition, one of the best amusement parks in the country, Holiday World, is less than 1 hour away in Santa Claus, IN!
